Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Community Care Worker to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals within their own homes or care settings, ensuring their well-being, independence, and dignity are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to care. A valid driving licence and experience in supervising or leading care teams are highly desirable. Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of clients are met with compassion and professionalism
- Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high standards of care delivery
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, medication management, meal preparation, and mobility assistance
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and progress reports
- Support clients with social activities and encourage independence where possible
- Utilise IT systems effectively to record client information, schedule visits, and communicate with team members
- Drive between different client locations as required, ensuring timely attendance at scheduled visits
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and reporting any concerns promptly
- · Availability to support rota requirements, including cover and on-call duties where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a care home or providing community-based senior care services
- Supervising or leadership experience within a care setting is highly advantageous
- Valid driving licence with reliable access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and using relevant software systems
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
