Due to continued workload in the rail sector in Leeds, we are looking to recruit reliable and experienced Plant Operators / Groundworkers to join our site teams.
Will accept existing gangs of 2-4.
This is a hands-on role for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, safe working, and being part of a solid site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating plant and machinery safely and efficiently
- Carrying out general groundworks including deep drainage, ducting, concreting, and reinstatement
- Assisting with excavation, backfilling, and preparation works
- Working alongside site supervisors, engineers, and other operatives
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working area
- Following all health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Supporting site activities to ensure works are completed on programme

- Concrete works and foundations
About You
- Proven experience as a Groundworker and/or Plant Operator within civil engineering
- Competent operating plant such as excavators, dumpers, rollers (where applicable)
- Good attitude, reliable, and a strong team player
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely at all times
Essential Requirements
- CSCS Card
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (relevant to role)
- Previous experience on civil engineering or construction sites
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable
- Multiple plant tickets
- Confined Spaces
- PTS - Not essential
