Do you love working with children and feel confident presenting to a room full of them?
We run hands-on science clubs, workshops and live science shows for primary-aged children.
We’re looking for reliable, confident presenters who can commit to short programmes and who are happy to lead sessions independently.
The Role
This is not a casual babysitting role, a holiday job or a “turn up when you feel like it” job.
You will:
- Deliver after-school science clubs (5-week programmes, typically the same day/time each week during term time)
- Option to run science workshops and shows during the school day
- Occasionally support weekend events and parties
- Set up, deliver and pack away sessions using our tried-and-tested plans
Full training and resources are provided — you do not need to be a scientist— but you must be confident, organised and great with children. A current DBS (or willingness to obtain one) will be required.
Availability Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
This role is only suitable if you can:
- Commit to a full 5-week club programme once booked
- Travel independently to local schools and venues - You must have use of a car.
- Give at least one consistent weekday afternoon during term time
If your availability changes weekly or you can only do occasional one-off sessions, this role will not be a good fit.

- Anyone comfortable speaking to groups of 30–300 children

- Like structured sessions rather than improvising everything

Who This Role Is Not for
This role is not suitable if you:
- Are nervous presenting to groups
- Can’t commit to multi-week programmes during term time
- Only want ad-hoc or last-minute work
- Prefer behind-the-scenes roles
