Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Assistant/Driver to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the inventory of parts, ensuring that our customers receive the correct components in a timely manner. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain an organised workspace while providing exceptional customer service. Full training will be given on computer and look up systems.

Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including <PERSON> drivers, for local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely service.
- Assist customers in-store by providing product information, answering questions, and supporting sales initiatives.
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules, customer requests, and any issues encountered during routes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met.
- Support warehouse activities as needed, including stock organization and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Excel for maintaining inventory records and generating reports.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and inventory management.
- Parts mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required)
