Health & Safety Lead
Location: Flexible / Regional Travel Required
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Lead to help drive a positive safety culture across our portfolio of more than 560 developments.
Reporting to the Head of Fire & Building Safety, you'll lead the development and delivery of operational health and safety standards, ensuring our teams have the guidance, training, and support they need to manage risk effectively. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic planning, operational support, assurance, and continuous improvement.
You'll work closely with Operations, Fire & Building Safety, Care Compliance, Construction, and Group Health & Safety teams to strengthen compliance, improve incident learning, and embed a consistent approach to health and safety across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the operational Health & Safety strategy and roadmap.

Drive a strong and proactive safety culture across the estate.

Lead health and safety assurance activities, reporting, and governance.

Support and oversee incident investigations, ensuring robust learning and continuous improvement.

Conduct site visits, inspections, and coaching across developments and regions.

Develop and maintain practical health and safety procedures, guidance, and resources.

Own the operational training matrix and deliver engaging safety training and awareness programmes.

Build strong relationships with operational leaders, supporting them to manage health and safety effectively.
About You
You'll be a practical, solutions-focused health and safety professional with experience in a multi-site operational environment.
Essential
-
Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience within property, housing, facilities management, residential, or similar sectors.

NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma desirable).

IOSH Graduate Membership or working towards Chartered status.

Strong knowledge of incident investigation, contractor management, and operational risk management.

Experience influencing and supporting managers across geographically dispersed teams.
