Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childrens Home Manager LD to oversee the daily operations of a specialised care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to deliver high-quality care tailored to children with learning disabilities. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans aligned with each child's needs
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and wellbeing
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care programmes, including medication administration and behavioural support strategies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing child welfare and care practices
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to promote holistic support
- Organise staff training sessions to enhance skills in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and other specialised areas as required
- Monitor and manage the home's budget, resources, and staffing levels effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory inspections
- Promote an inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal development for each child
Experience
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments specialising in senior or child care
- Demonstrable background in managing or supervising teams within a care home or home care setting
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and managing complex behavioural needs
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans and medication administration protocols
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery
- Familiarity with relevant legislation governing child welfare and adult social care services
- Previous experience working with children who have learning disabilities or complex health needs is highly desirable

Pay: £50,239.58-£60,350.79 per year
