Job Title: Lunchtime & Meal Time Supervisor

This is a great opportunity to join us at a time of growth and development, supporting our children during a key part of their day — lunchtime. You'll play an important role in mealtime supervision, helping to create a calm, nurturing and sociable dining experience for the children in our care.
About the Role
We are looking for a Lunchtime & Meal Time Supervisor to join our team, working 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, all year round, supporting children during their lunchtime and mealtime routines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising children during lunch and snack times, ensuring a safe, calm and positive mealtime environment
- Supporting children with eating independently, encouraging healthy eating habits
- Assisting with setting up and clearing away mealtimes, including tables and dining areas
- Supporting children with any dietary requirements or allergies in line with nursery policy
- Encouraging good manners, social skills and conversation during meals
- Supervising children during any associated free-play, rest or transition periods around lunchtime
- Reporting any concerns regarding a child's eating, behaviour or wellbeing to the room leader/manager
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and following food safety and safeguarding procedures at all times
- Communicating kindly and professionally with children, parents and staff members

Requirements:
- Experience working with children (Early Years qualification desirable but not essential for this role)
- Basic knowledge of child development principles and safe mealtime practices
- Ability to communicate kindly and professionally with children, parents, and staff members
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required
Hours & Pay:
- 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, all year round
- Pay: £12.71 per hour for unqualified staff (National Living Wage, ages 21+), rising for candidates holding a relevant Early Years qualification.
