Job Title: Passenger Assistant – School Run

£12.71 per hour (National Minimum Wage)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible Passenger Assistant to support children during their school transport journeys. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of passengers while travelling to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting children safely on and off the vehicle
- Ensuring seatbelts and specialist restraints are correctly secured
- Supervising passengers during the journey
- Providing reassurance and appropriate support, including for children with additional needs
- Communicating effectively with drivers, parents, and schools
- Following safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
Requirements:
- borough council badge
- Caring, patient, and responsible approach
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Availability during weekday mornings and afternoons
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
