Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance operative to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they remain healthy, attractive, and well-kept. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, with practical experience in landscape upkeep. Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to maintain gardens and landscaped areas
- Prune, trim, and shape plants, shrubs, and trees to promote healthy growth
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of plants
- Mow lawns, edge borders, and perform general turf management
- Apply fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments as required to maintain plant health
- Assist with planting new flora, including flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored correctly
- Monitor garden conditions regularly to identify potential issues or hazards
- Support landscape projects as needed, including soil preparation and mulching
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care principles
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and shovels
- Experience operating power tools like hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and blowers is advantageous
- Growing experience or understanding of plant development and seasonal care routines
- Practical knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics is essential

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
