Role Overview
The Outreach Officer plays a key role in improving attendance, strengthening family engagement and removing barriers preventing young people from accessing education.
This position requires confidence working independently in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support student attendance
- Conduct home visits and family liaison
- Coordinate daily transport arrangements
- Support reintegration and engagement plans
- Work collaboratively with schools, families and external agencies
- Maintain accurate safeguarding and attendance records
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with young people and families
- Understanding of safeguarding and attendance processes
- Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Confidence completing home visits independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent reliability, attendance and punctuality to maintain consistency for learners
