Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Assistant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of restaurant management, from food quality and safety to staff supervision and guest satisfaction. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational efficiency, ensuring the continued success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Daily Shift Operations: Running the floor during peak hours to ensure service standards remain high.
- Staff Scheduling & Labor Management: Writing weekly schedules to match guest demand while hitting labor cost targets.
- Team Training & Development: Onboarding new hires and coaching current staff to build a pipeline for future promotions.
- Conflict Resolution: Handling immediate customer complaints and mediating internal staff issues during a shift.
- GM Succession: Learning the financial and administrative duties of the GM to step in seamlessly when needed.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand’s values of hospitality and excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous experience supervising teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings.
