Job Summary
Five March is hiring a new GM to oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven track record in management within retail or sales environments. This role involves strategic planning, team supervision, and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and maintaining high standards across all departments.
The salary is £35,000 per annum for 48 hours/wk. Tronc is between £150-225 per week and paid alongside your salary.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire organisation, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of business objectives.
- Supervise and motivate teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales, optimise merchandising, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily administrative functions, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
- Maintain excellent communication with staff, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor sales performance and develop initiatives to meet or exceed targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
Skills
- Proven management experience with strong leadership capabilities.
- Supervising experience within retail or sales management environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to facilitate diverse customer engagement.
