Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer/Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various machinery and assisting with site preparation and maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and be capable of handling specialised equipment such as excavators. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to construction or industrial projects while developing valuable skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery including excavators and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with site preparation, loading, unloading, and material movement.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times, recognising potential hazards on-site.
- Support team members with various labouring duties, including site clean-up and organisation of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily activities.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating construction or industrial machinery preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills related to machinery operation and site management.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
