Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated dental nurse to join our busy dental practice. We are a NHS/private mixed practice with a highly skilled and experienced team.
We expect the successful candidate to provide a range of clinical duties and non-clinical duties will be delegated upon request/experience.
The position is open to full/part -time GDC registered dental nurses, Mon - Fri working hours.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials before procedures
- Provide high-quality patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering reassurance
- Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment
- Manage patient records accurately using R4 systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments
- Support administrative tasks such as booking appointments, managing patient correspondence, and organizing clinical supplies
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a positive experience and promote good oral health habits
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and professional approach
- Excellent communication skills in English to clearly explain procedures and instructions
- Solid understanding of nursing principles applied within a dental setting
- Proficiency with IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when needed
Essential Requirements
- GDC Registration
- Minimum of 1 years' experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with dentists and hygienists
Desirable Skills
- Treatment co-ordination
- Reception/administrative duties
