Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a friendly hospitality environment.
As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with senior chefs to ensure the delivery of our high-quality brunch menu while maintaining strict food safety standards.

You will be expected to work weekends, standard hours will be 830am - 1630pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate dish delivery
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold health standards across all kitchen operations
- Contribute to food production by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and basic components of dishes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy service periods
- Participate in stock control, inventory checks, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is essential; but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Demonstrated understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices
- Exposure to restaurant or food service environments that emphasize teamwork and customer satisfaction
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
