Specialising in the supply of roofing products and materials locally for over 20 years. We are currently recruiting for a HGV2 licensed driver. We are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, conscientious and reliable person that can work well within our small team delivering roofing supplies to sites and domestic homes across Cornwall.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic about their work, proactive, a real team player with a positive attitude and the ability to complete your tasks efficiently when working alone, someone who can be a key member in a small team, is organised with great time keeping skills and is friendly and outgoing toward customers.
Key Skills:
- Safe and efficient operation of HGV Class 2 vehicle
- Excellent knowledge of UK road traffic laws and regulations
- Time management and punctuality
- Load securing and safe handling of goods
- Vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting
- Manual handling and lifting experience
- Tachograph and drivers' hours compliance
- Good geographical knowledge of local road networks
- Problem-solving and ability to work independently
- Maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to all transport legislation
- Safe operation of HIAB lorry-mounted cranes
- Accurate load positioning and placement
- Understanding of load weights and crane capacities
- Knowledge of lifting regulations and procedures
- Ability to work safely in confined areas or busy sites
Hours -
- Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch)
- Alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm
Duties can also include -
- Transit driving
- Yard work
- Stocking shelves
License -
- HGV 2
- Forklift license is desirable but not required
- Crane license is required
- Up to date CPC certifications
