The Opportunity
We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Litigation Assistant to join our business. This is a varied role where you'll provide administrative and casework support across a range of litigation, claims, complaints and legal matters.
This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
You'll work closely with the Senior Litigation Officer to help ensure cases are progressed accurately and efficiently. You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of litigation, enforcement and legal processes while gaining valuable experience in a busy and supportive environment.
Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. We're looking for someone who is keen to learn, has excellent attention to detail and is confident managing information and competing priorities.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative and casework support across a range of legal, litigation and enforcement matters.
- Maintain accurate case files, records, deadlines and key case information.
- Assist with preparing court bundles, evidence, case summaries, correspondence and other documentation.
- Gather, review and organise relevant information and evidence to support investigations and case progression.
- Assist with complaints and related casework where required.
- Prepare routine correspondence and draft responses for review.
- Liaise professionally with internal teams, clients, solicitors, courts and other relevant stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team.
- A professional approach when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems.
- An interest in litigation, law, enforcement or legal processes and a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in litigation, enforcement, legal administration, complaints, claims would be advantageous, but is not essential.
