Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring the safe transport of goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and stock organisation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., vans or lorries) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
