Job Title: Greenkeeper
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
This is a full-time position (average 40hrs/week) including weekend working on a rota basis
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Greenkeeper to join our team at Macclesfield Golf Club in Macclesfield. This role is crucial for maintaining our golf course and ensuring a high-quality experience for our members and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the golf course, including greens, fairways, and rough, to a high standard.
- Operate and maintain a variety of green keeping equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other machinery.
- Work as part of a team, with the ability to use your own initiative and follow instructions from the Head Green Keeper
- Have a flexible approach to work, working hours and weekend duties.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing weather conditions and course demands.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of golf course maintenance
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
The following qualifications and attributes are desirable:
- NVQ level 2 Sports Turf Management or above
- PA1 & PA6 spraying certification
- Sound knowledge of the game of golf
