Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Senior Care Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. This role offers the opportunity to work across day and night shifts, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety, and well-being for our residents. As a senior member of staff, you will lead by example, supervising junior team members, developing personalized care plans, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff during shifts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to care standards
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and nutrition
- Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care needs
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff to promote professional development and team cohesion
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care
- Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to develop tailored support strategies
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
