Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans and company policies.
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence care, and oral hygiene, while maintaining their dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Support clients with mobility, transferring, and positioning using appropriate moving and handling techniques and equipment where required.
- Prepare nutritious meals and drinks while supporting clients with eating and drinking where necessary.
- Prompt, assist with, or administer medication in line with company procedures and relevant training.
- Carry out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, reducing loneliness and promoting social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, social activities, or community events where appropriate.
- Encourage and support clients to remain as independent as possible by promoting daily living skills and personal choice.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health, ensuring concerns are communicated promptly to the appropriate manager or healthcare professional.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential care records using electronic care management systems and mobile devices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families, and other agencies to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of vulnerable adults.
- Comply with all health and safety policies, infection prevention procedures, manual handling guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the organisation professionally while delivering exceptional customer service during every client visit.
Skills and Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and use initiative while following care plans.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to providing outstanding care.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Basic IT skills for completing electronic care records and documentation.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, health and safety, and person-centred care principles is desirable.
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, residential care, support work, or healthcare is advantageous but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are desirable due to the community-based nature of the role, although opportunities may be available for non-drivers depending on location.
