Job Summary
We are a new but growing Landscape company based in Manningtree, Essex. We are seeking a motivated Trainee Landscape Operative to join our team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in landscape maintenance and horticultural practices. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of outdoor projects, gaining skills in soft landscaping and landscape maintenance. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in landscaping within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, watering and weeding.
- Assist with soft landscaping works including turfing, shrub planting and tree planting.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery under supervision.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a keen interest in developing a career within the landscaping industry.
- Experience in Landscaping, gardening, construction or similar roles is an advantage but not essential.
This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain practical experience while contributing to high-quality outdoor environments. No prior professional experience is required; training will be provided to support your development to become a skilled landscape operative.
The successful applicant will be required to complete and pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives as the role involves working on construction sites.
A Uk driving license is an advantage but not essential as pickup / drop-off may be available dependant on location.
Hours are generally Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm subject to workload but may be less during quieter periods, subject to a minimum guaranteed hours of 16 hours per week.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
