Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and drive to various locations will be crucial in delivering high-quality personal care and assistance with daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of client progress.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Drive to various locations as required for home visits or appointments.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact with clients and their families effectively.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between client locations.
