We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Charity Shop Volunteers to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the community by supporting our charitable initiatives. As a volunteer, you will be an essential part of our organisation, helping to create a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop.
Duties
- Assisting customers with their purchases and providing excellent customer service
- Handling cash register operations and processing sales accurately
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the shop environment
- Supporting stock management, including receiving
- Providing general administrative support as needed
- Promoting the charity’s mission and encouraging community engagement
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Basic IT skills for operating cash registers, managing stock records, or data entry tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently when required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting charitable causes
- Willingness to undertake training related to shop operations
- Ability to commit to either a 10.00-13.00 shift or a 13.00-16.00 shift
This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful volunteer work that develops organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills while making a positive impact within the community. As we are a very small team, independent (not lone) working will be required so any applicants will need to be confident with this aspect of retail work.
