IIT Software Limited is a UK-based IT delivery and consulting company providing specialist technology services to clients across the UK and internationally. We work across Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Enterprise Software sectors, delivering data-driven solutions and consulting services. We are expanding our delivery capability and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst with proven Life Sciences and Healthcare sector experience to join our team.
The Role
This is a specialist role requiring deep domain knowledge of Life Sciences and Healthcare data. You will be embedded within a delivery team supporting our client's data mapping, transformation, and schema management requirements. You must be comfortable working with complex, multi-source datasets in a life sciences context and be able to translate AI and business data requirements into clear technical specifications.
This is a remote, UK-based, full-time position. You will be employed directly by IIT Software Limited.
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for this role:
- Minimum 3 years of direct, hands-on experience working with Life Sciences and/or Healthcare data - this is a strict requirement and non-negotiable
- 5+ years of overall experience in data analysis with a focus on data mapping, data transformation, and schema management
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and profiling
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas and related libraries) for data analysis and automation
- Solid understanding of data structures and formats including JSON, CSV, XML, and relational and non-relational database schemas
- Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and processes
- Ability to translate business requirements and AI data needs into technical data mapping specifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver data mapping, data transformation, and schema management activities within the Life Sciences and Healthcare domain
- Review and interpret complex datasets from a variety of sources specific to life sciences and healthcare environments
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data querying, manipulation, and profiling
- Develop and maintain Python scripts (Pandas and related libraries) for data analysis and automation
- Work with a range of data structures and formats including JSON, CSV, and XML
- Support ETL/ELT processes and contribute to data pipeline development
- Translate business requirements and AI data needs into clear technical data mapping specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical, business, and client stakeholders
- Contribute to data governance and quality assurance activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs) or CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Understanding of data preparation requirements for AI and Machine Learning models
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
- Experience in a startup or Agile development environment
