About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team at a busy leisure centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, including gyms, swimming pool areas, changing rooms, sports halls, offices, and communal spaces.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of cleaning operatives.
- Allocate cleaning sections and duties to staff members.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Manage cleaning supplies and report stock requirements.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Respond promptly to customer and management feedback.
- Assist with cleaning duties when required.
- Support and oversee additional cleaning requirements following events, tournaments, and special functions.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience working within leisure, hospitality, healthcare, education, or commercial environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.

Schedule
- 34 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 7 hours per day
- Friday: 6 hours per day
- Flexibility to cover occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Additional paid hours available for event cleaning, special functions, tournaments, concerts, and peak operational periods
Working Hours: 34 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (7 hours per day) and Friday (6 hours per day), with opportunities to increase earnings through additional event cleaning shifts & additional shifts through peak time.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
