Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Sign Fitters Mate to join our dynamic signage installation team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced sign fitters to assist in the installation, maintenance, and removal of various types of signage across multiple locations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality signage solutions that enhance our clients’ brand visibility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting the successful completion of diverse projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior sign fitters with the installation and removal of signs, banners, and display units on different surfaces and structures
- Prepare work sites by organising tools, equipment, and materials needed for each project
- Ensure all jobs are reported accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation activities to maintain a safe working environment
- Use hand tools and power tools under supervision to help secure signage in place accurately
- Support in measuring, marking, and aligning signage for precise placement according to specifications
- Help with loading and unloading signage materials from vehicles and/or storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organised work area during and after installation tasks to promote efficiency and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour or construction-related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices relevant to physical installation work
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
