Shifts : 8am to 5pm 3 days per week, inclusive of working alternate weekends

Job Summary

As a Housekeeper, you will help ensure that all areas of the home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, supporting the wellbeing and dignity of our residents while contributing to a welcoming and homely environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain resident bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff areas to a high standard.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in line with infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitise surfaces throughout the home.
- Assist with laundry duties where required, including washing, drying, and folding residents’ clothing and bedding.
- Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with training and COSHH guidelines.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and report any shortages to the appropriate manager.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and support the team in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Work respectfully around residents, maintaining their privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work.
- Good communication skills and a friendly manner when interacting with residents and colleagues.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within a care environment.
