Role Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse and FLT experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm - No weekend work!
Pay: £14.38 per hour, increasing to £14.88 per hour following successful completion of probation
Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- FLT Operations: Safely operate Flexi, narrow aisle and other materials handling equipment as required.
- Goods In: Receive and book in deliveries, checking stock for accuracy and damage.
- Stock Management: Carry out replenishments, stock checks and inventory-related activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Customer Service: Support both internal and external customers by responding to queries and ensuring orders are processed effectively.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling and equipment operation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure operational targets are achieved.
Skills Needed
Essential
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Current Flexi Truck and/or Narrow Aisle Truck licence, or demonstrable relevant experience operating this equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Ability to safely lift and move goods as part of normal warehouse duties.
Desirable
- Combi Lift and/or Counterbalance (CB) truck licence or experience.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stock control and inventory management experience.
Additional Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, a degree of flexibility will be required with regard to working hours and overtime during busy periods. Overtime may occasionally be required during the week to support operational demands.
