About the role
Smarter Appliances Ltd has a new opportunity for a Trainee White Goods Installer / Driver’s Mate supporting one of our experienced installation engineers on key contracts across London.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn a trade, build real experience on the road, and progress into an Installation Engineer position.
Smarter Appliances Ltd is a fast-growing domestic appliance repair and replacement company, operating across London and the Home Counties, delivering, installing and repairing a wide range of domestic appliances.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting the Installation Engineer with deliveries and installations across London
- Learning the full installation process with a view to progressing into an installer role
- Supporting the engineer on-site (e.g. unwrapping appliances, clearing packaging, loading waste back into the van, hoovering sawdust, and keeping the work area tidy)
- Helping ensure jobs run smoothly and on time by supporting route efficiency and punctuality
- Learning how to complete and check paperwork accurately, including special instructions
- Driving the company van when required
- Following all company procedures and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Working safely at all times and following health & safety requirements
- Building confidence with the Highway Code and professional driving standards
What we’re looking for
- Friendly and professional with strong customer-facing skills
- Able to read and follow paperwork and job instructions accurately
- Manual UK driving licence (max 3 points)
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking, flexible, and a genuine can-do attitude
- A real interest in learning the role and progressing into a White Goods Installation Engineer position
- Clear DBS
