We are future facing, always learning, nimble, plain speaking and friendly. As we continue to grow, we are recruiting a BIM Consultant to take ownership of BIM delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual eager to expand their career in BIM, working with a team at the forefront of digital construction on some of the world’s most exciting projects.
This role requires a highly skilled BIM professional capable of leading and overseeing BIM delivery across multiple projects. You will bring a strong understanding and knowledge of technical project delivery, BIM technologies, industry standards, and best practices alongside excellent communication skills.
Working closely with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders, you will drive collaboration, ensure coordination and accurate data management, helping deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
Construction Project BIM Delivery
- Act as the primary client-facing BIM contact from project inception to handover for multiple projects
- Author project BIM documentation, including EIRs, BEPs, AIRs, MIDPs etc.
- Produce model audit, coordination, and clash detection reports; lead meetings and workshops with design and construction teams to discuss and resolve identified issues
- Provide technical workshops to design teams to resolve issues and provide technical expertise
Digital Transformation / ISO 19650 Accreditation
- Author strategic BIM processes, workflows and template documentation in line with ISO 19650 requirements and company procedures.
- Lead workshops to evaluate and deliver BIM processes and toolkits
- Assist companies with their ISO 19650 certification audits
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to Company innovation and Research and Development activities
- Proactively adopt technological advancements, including AI tools, to improve delivery quality, efficiency and consistency while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- Stay current with emerging standards, software updates, and industry best practice
- Provide technical training and support to junior consultants within the business
Client Experience
- Represent BIMBox positively and professionally across all written, verbal and in-person interactions with clients, and at industry events where required
- Provide technical expertise to our Proposal Manager to provide accurate and clear proposals to our Clients
Essential skills and experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A minimum of a 2:1 in any industry related degree
- An understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its benefits to the construction Industry
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO19650 and the IMI Framework (UK BIM Framework)
- Strong Revit skills
- A passion for quality and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in information gathering and technical discovery techniques
- Strong teamwork and relationship management skills
- A positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
- A desire to enhance your skills with a fast-growing BIM consultancy
Desirable skills and experience
- Construction Industry Experience
- Experience of clash detection processes
- Experience with Dynamo, Power BI, or scripting for BIM automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure or civil engineering BIM environments (OpenRoads, Civil 3D).
- Experience of Building Safety Act 2022, including golden thread concepts and gateway requirements
