Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and energetic General Assistant/ Kitchen team member to support daily food service operations. This role involves assisting with meal and food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen, and providing excellent service to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for culinary activities, a strong work ethic. The home uses apetito. Under General Assistant you will be require to do activities with the residents
Responsibilities
- Support catering activities, including setup, serving, and cleanup for events or daily service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
- Serve food and beverages to residents or guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Organize ingredients, supplies, and utensils to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items
Requirements
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety protocols
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving residents and collaborating with team members
- A positive attitude to providing well presented meals to our residents
