ROLE OVERVIEW
Peregrine Risk Management is seeking a capable and organised Security Coordinator to
support the planning, coordination and delivery of protective security operations for clients,
VIPs, personnel and assets. This is an operational role requiring sound judgement, strong
communication, attention to detail and the ability to maintain readiness across shifts and
deployments. The role coordinates security protocols, threat and risk assessments,
protective details, incident reporting, stakeholder liaison, and the operational use of relevant
technology and equipment. The Security Coordinator acts as the secondary point of contact
for clients and deployed team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Coordination and Delivery
- Maintain implemented security protocols for the protection of personnel and assets
- Ensure operational activity complies with applicable legal and regulatory
requirements, including Martyn’s Law and data protection requirements (GDPR)
- Update and maintain records, logs and forms that support effective operational
delivery
- Validate coordination activities with the Head of Protective Services before delivery
Threat and Risk Assessment
- Perform threat and risk assessments to support security planning and delivery
- Monitor intelligence sources for emerging threats that may affect clients, personnel,
assets or operations
- Develop proportionate mitigation strategies and escalation procedures
Operational Oversight and Team Support
- Coordinate protection details for high-risk individuals
- Coordinate advance teams, secure transport and venue security
- Ensure operatives are briefed, equipped and compliant with approved protocols
- Support the allocation of tasks and responsibilities across shifts and deployments
- Monitor team performance, communicate occurrences, and help maintain
operational readiness and morale
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the secondary point of contact for clients and VIPs and assume the Security
Manager role in their absence
- Understand client expectations and tailor protection plans accordingly
- Provide regular updates, incident reports and operational advice
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services and venue security
- Coordinate with internal departments, including HR, legal and facilities, and
represent the security function in cross-functional meetings

- Ensure incidents and near misses are reported accurately and promptly
- Maintain complete logs, forms, registers and audit trails
- Review reports for trends and improvement opportunities and communicate findings
to senior management
- Ensure operatives are informed about the technology, equipment and tools required
for operational delivery
- Promote Peregrine’s values, professional standards and commitment to high-quality
security services
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Experience in security coordination, protective services, security operations or a
related field
- Practical knowledge of security procedures for personnel and asset protection
- Ability to conduct and document threat and risk assessments and develop practical
mitigation and escalation measures
- Experience coordinating operational activity, including personnel, transport, venues
or protective details
- Working knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to protective
security, incident management and data protection
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging clients,
VIPs and operational stakeholders
- Ability to produce accurate incident reports, operational records, logs and audit trails
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to remain effective under pressure
Desirable
- Experience supporting protective arrangements for high-risk individuals or VIPs
- Experience liaising with law enforcement, emergency services, venue security or
comparable external partners
- Experience coordinating shift-based teams, deployments or advance activity
- Familiarity with security technology, communications equipment and operational
reporting tools
- Experience acting as deputy or operational cover for a Security Manager
