Located in a popular area of Manchester's Northern Quarter, Chakalaka serves up bold flavours inspired by South African cuisine - from our meaty Boerewors to Bunny Chow.

The Role
As a Kitchen Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading kitchen shifts and helping to create a positive, organised and high-performing kitchen environment.
You'll play a key role in ensuring food quality, food safety, productivity and team development while leading from the front during service.
You'll:
* Lead kitchen shifts and coordinate the team to deliver efficient, high-quality service
* Set the pace during service and maintain a positive, motivated kitchen environment
* Coach, support and develop team members through day-to-day leadership
* Identify and nurture future talent within the kitchen team
* Support the Kitchen Manager with stock control, ordering and operational responsibilities
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness and compliance standards are maintained at all times
* Manage prep, organisation and shift planning to ensure smooth operations
* Work closely with the wider management team to drive restaurant performance and achieve targets
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a leadership role within a busy kitchen environment
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
* Someone who leads by example and enjoys developing others
* Calm and organised under pressure
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ambition to progress and develop within the hospitality industry
