VEL Couriers is seeking a reliable and dedicated Multi-Drop Courier Driver
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
transporting goods and packages efficiently and safely to various locations.
This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to
communicate effectively with clients and team members. As a Courier Driver, you will play a
crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
You'll be responsible for scanning, loading, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring the safe
delivery of parcels to 80+ stops daily, including collections. Comprehensive training with one of
our experienced drivers will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a van or delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
Scanning and loading parcels into the van.
Ensure timely delivery of packages while adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Optimise delivery routes for efficiency.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Assist with heavy lifting and loading/unloading of goods as required.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for mileage and delivery confirmations.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient handling of goods before and after delivery.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients during
the delivery process.
Requirements:
Current DBS Check: Must be dated within the last 3 months.
Self-Employed Status: You will work on a self-employed basis.
Availability: Must be available to work Monday to Friday.
Insurance: Comprehensive courier insurance, including "hire and reward," is required for owner
drivers.
Vehicle: Medium to large-sized van in good condition, no more than 4 years old, with a valid
MOT and road tax. For those without a suitable vehicle, van hire is available.
Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members.

Competitive rates deducted from weekly pay.

Fuel coverage is available for those hiring a vehicle from us.
Flexible hire options available.
Insurance Requirements:
Owner Van Drivers: Must maintain comprehensive courier insurance throughout employment.
Van Hire Through Us: Insurance is included in the hire cost.
Start Date:
Positions are available for an immediate start.
Training will commence once all required documents are verified. We may accommodate
flexible start dates for suitable candidates.
