Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food production processes, including menu planning and ingredient sourcing
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated team
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Implement new recipes or menu changes in line with customer preferences and trends
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction
- Control a robust rota and recruit / train where and when needed
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive food production and culinary expertise with a strong focus on quality
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to organise and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
