Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and responsible Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support to a family with 2 boys aged 4 and 8 months.The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and enthusiastic about fostering a safe and stimulating environment for children. This role involves assisting with daily routines, engaging in educational activities, and ensuring the wellbeing of the children in your care. The position offers an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with the family while contributing positively to the children's development.
Responsibilities
- Supervising children during daily activities, including playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Assisting with homework and educational activities to promote learning and development
- Preparing nutritious meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary needs
- Organising engaging activities that support physical, emotional, and social growth
- Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines and supervising children closely
- Assisting with bedtime routines and organising outings or appointments as required
- Communicating regularly with parents about children’s progress, behaviour, and any concerns
- Supporting children’s personal hygiene and organisational skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Nanny or in childcare is preferred but not essential; a genuine passion for working with children is vital
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with parents and children alike
- A caring, patient, and adaptable demeanour with a proactive approach to childcare challenges
- Relevant first aid certification is desirable but can be provided if necessary
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is required
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate family needs; reliability is essential
