HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)
£41,600 per year + Night Out Allowance (£26.75 per night)

Clive Cowern Transport is a family-run haulage business with a strong reputation for reliability, professionalism and customer service. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a professional and dependable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.
We offer a variety of work including general haulage, pallet network operations and dedicated customer contracts. This role would suit both experienced drivers and newly qualified drivers who are looking to develop their skills with the support of an established transport operation.
The Role
- Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK.
- Ensure freight is transported safely, securely and efficiently.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Comply with all Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Tachograph regulations.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic PODs accurately.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, tidy and roadworthy.
- Work closely with the traffic office to maintain service levels.
What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and vehicle compliance.
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work independently.
- ADR qualification advantageous but not essential.
