Duties
- Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to lay bricks, stones, and blocks with precision and care
- Execute bricklaying tasks for walls, facades, and other structures according to project specifications
- Operate power tools including saws, drills, and mixers safely and effectively to facilitate masonry work
- Apply masonry techniques to build or repair structures like chimneys, arches, or retaining walls
- Collaborate with carpenters and roofers to ensure seamless integration of structural elements
- Assist with roofing tasks when needed, including installing or repairing roof surfaces using appropriate materials
- Support welding operations for metal components when required for structural reinforcement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry, bricklaying, or related construction trades
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry and carpentry work
- Knowledge of masonry materials, techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of roofing processes and welding techniques is a plus
- Valid relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous but not mandatory
