Tipsy Teapot is an independent restaurant, cocktail bar and party venue in the heart of Kings Lynn. We pride ourselves on delivering fresh food, exceptional service and memorable experiences in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
Everything we serve is freshly prepared on-site using quality ingredients. We don't use microwaves and we don't believe in shortcuts. Our kitchen is built around fresh cooking, consistency and taking pride in every plate that leaves the pass.
As we celebrate our 5th Birthday, we're preparing to launch an exciting new food concept, making this a fantastic time to join the business and help shape its future.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional food standards, developing your team and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently every day.
Working closely with the business owners, you'll also have the opportunity to influence menu development and play a key role in the exciting direction we're taking the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a small kitchen team.
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Manage stock ordering and supplier relationships.
- Control food GP, waste and kitchen profitability.
- Create kitchen rotas and manage labour efficiently.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Train, coach and develop team members.
- Work alongside the owners on new menu development and seasonal specials.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and ready for service at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Has a genuine passion for cooking with fresh ingredients.
- Leads by example and builds a positive team culture.
- Takes ownership and pride in their work.
- Understands stock control, GP and labour management.
- Can remain calm and organised during busy services.
- Has excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Wants to build something they can genuinely be proud of.
