Job Summary
SICCO Engineering & Industrial Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering & Industrial Operations to provide strategic leadership across engineering, technical projects, and industrial operations.
The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee major engineering programmes, improve operational performance, and ensure projects and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high technical standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead engineering and industrial operations across the business
- Develop engineering, operational, and technical delivery strategies
- Manage engineering managers, project teams, technical specialists, and contractors
- Oversee major engineering and industrial projects from planning through completion
- Manage operational budgets, resources, capacity, and performance targets
- Drive productivity, efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee procurement, suppliers, contractors, and technical partnerships
- Monitor project portfolios, operational KPIs, risks, costs, and delivery performance
- Support health and safety, quality assurance, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Provide technical and operational advice to senior leadership and key clients
- Identify opportunities for technology adoption, automation, and process improvement
- Support commercial planning, proposals, and strategic business growth
Requirements
- Significant leadership experience in engineering, industrial operations, manufacturing, construction, or technical services
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams
- Strong track record of managing complex engineering projects or operational programmes
- Good understanding of budgeting, resource planning, procurement, and operational performance
- Strong technical, commercial, strategic, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent leadership and senior stakeholder-management skills
- Knowledge of relevant UK engineering, health and safety, and quality practices is advantageous
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent senior-level professional experience is preferred

Pay: £95,000.00-£125,000.00 per year
