About the Role
Trojan Facilities Management is looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Commercial Cleaner to join our growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across different environments rather than being based at one location every day.
You will work across a range of commercial contracts throughout West Yorkshire, alongside specialist cleaning projects including builders cleans, sparkle cleans, carpet cleaning and deep cleans.
The majority of working hours will fall between 9:00pm and 9:00am, although flexibility is essential. Shift times may change depending on client requirements, upcoming projects and the operational needs of the business.
This is a full-time role working 5 days per week, with shifts scheduled across both weekdays and weekends.

Employees should therefore be available to work:
- 5 days per week
- A mixture of weekdays and weekends
- Evening, night and early-morning shifts
- Approximately 35–40 hours per week
- Different shift patterns depending on client and operational requirements
A 4-week rota will be provided to allow employees to plan their working schedule in advance wherever possible.
The Work
Your duties may include:
- General commercial cleaning
- Builders cleans
- Handover and sparkle cleans
- Carpet cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Office and workplace cleaning
- Washroom cleaning
- Floor cleaning
- Detailed cleaning of fixtures, fittings and surfaces
- Use of commercial cleaning machinery and equipment
- Following site-specific cleaning specifications
- Following COSHH requirements and safe chemical handling procedures
- Correct use of PPE and adherence to site health and safety requirements
- Working independently and as part of a cleaning team
- Maintaining the high standards expected by Trojan Facilities Management and our clients
Travel & Nationwide Work
Most regular work will be based throughout West Yorkshire.
However, some specialist projects, including builders cleans, sparkle cleans and other project work, may take place nationwide.
Where nationwide work is required, we will aim to provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
Some projects outside Yorkshire may require overnight stays due to location, working hours or operational logistics. Accommodation will be arranged where required in accordance with company arrangements.
A company vehicle is available for work-related travel.

Experience
Previous commercial cleaning experience is required.
Experience in the following areas would be particularly advantageous:
- Builders cleans
- Sparkle cleans
- Carpet cleaning
- General commercial cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Commercial cleaning machinery
- Specialist cleaning projects
You should also have a good working knowledge of:
- COSHH
- PPE requirements
- Safe chemical handling
- Site health and safety procedures
Additional training can be provided to the right candidate.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process, where the role is eligible for this level of check
- Be able to provide two satisfactory references from previous employers
- Be able to work predominantly between 9:00pm and 9:00am
- Be flexible regarding changes to shifts and working locations
- Be willing and able to travel to sites throughout West Yorkshire
- Be willing to travel nationwide for specialist projects when required
- Be comfortable with occasional overnight stays where operationally necessary
- Have a good understanding of COSHH, PPE and safe working practices
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic

Flexibility outside normal rota arrangements will occasionally be required to support upcoming works, client requirements, staff cover and specialist projects.
