About Us
All About Desserts creates sensational chilled desserts and baked goods for the travel, retail, leisure, hospitality and food service industries. Unlike many roles within food industry, these are a Monday to Friday position and these roles are working within our Bakery or High care teams producing a range of products such as cakes, bakes, mousses & cheesecakes to our standard of quality and specification.
This role operates on a morning shift pattern, with working hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday or an evening shift pattern, with working hours of 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday - Friday. Please specify what shift pattern you are applying for on the screening questions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the hand washing and personal hygiene policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the PPE and protective clothing policies and procedures.
- Prepare raw ingredients for production, ensuring stock rotation and adhere to allergen working practices.
- Weigh the ingredients and prepare the products as instructed on recipe and specification sheets.
- Operate mixing, depositing and cutting equipment within instruction guidelines.
- Hand finish products where required.
- Clean down equipment and production area at the end of each shift as per cleaning schedules..
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the product throughout the process.
- Complete all relevant paperwork fully every time a product is produced
- Pack products into boxes and correctly label.
- Adhereto HACCP procedures, working within the timeframe guidelines to ensure the product remains at the correct temperature.
- Work within Health and Safety guidelines and working practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of bakery or food production experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to meet deadlines.
- Good level of physical fitness (standing, lifting, moving ingredients)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions
- Good communication and documentation skills
