Delivery Driver – Confectionery Distribution
We are a well-established confectionery company delivering our products to independent retailers across London and the Home Counties. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team.
The Role
The successful applicant will be required to report to our depot in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire (EN11) each morning at 6:00am to load their van with stock before setting off to complete deliveries within their designated area.
Once all deliveries have been completed, there is no requirement to return to the depot. You will take the company vehicle home each evening and use it to travel back to the depot the following morning.
The company covers all fuel costs for business use, including your journey between your home and the depot, so there are no travel expenses.
Daily Duties
- Start at our Hoddesdon depot at 6:00am.
- Load your allocated stock onto the van.
- Complete deliveries to independent retailers within your designated area.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with our customers.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.
About the Route
- Typically 25–35 deliveries per day.
- Delivery numbers may vary depending on business requirements.
- Routes are well planned, with deliveries concentrated within a small number of postcode areas to maximise efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience driving a Transit-sized Luton box van is preferred but not essential.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
- A polite, friendly, and professional manner, with a commitment to looking after our customers to the high standard they expect.

The Salary:
The Salary is approximately £30,000 per annum, made up of the following:
£21,000 per year basic
£2,400 a year as ‘No Accident Bonus’ which is paid £200 per month, if you do not have any accidents, losses, damages or claims in the company vehicle
An average of £3,600 - £6,600 in delivery commission. This is a realistic average as you are paid on the value of goods you deliver
The job is full time, with a permanent contract.
We are a busy expanding company and there is always potential for overtime or extra work, should you want it.
