About the Role
Our C&W Finance team is based in our Birmingham Studio and plays an important role in keeping the business running smoothly. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to join our high performing, dynamic finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for running the Accounts payable function, maintaining strong financial controls and making sure supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a finance function, improving ways of working and building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day accounts payable function, ensuring purchase orders, invoices, supplier queries and payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Managing supplier relationships, monitoring statements and supporting procurement efficiencies across regular supply contracts.
- Overseeing company credit cards and staff expenses, ensuring spend is properly documented and compliant with company policies.
- Supporting month-end, year-end, reporting and audit processes, maintaining strong financial controls and accurate records.
- Review and improve purchase ledger processes, while supporting banking activities including outgoing transaction reconciliations, refunds, direct debits and standing orders.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry or within professional services.
- Enthusiastic, self-starting individual who is organised and calm under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A strong understanding of financial processes and controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience using accounting software.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
