Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services on-site at client locations. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to mechanical systems, computer hardware, and networking equipment. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct on-site inspections and diagnostics of client equipment to identify faults or potential issues.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems, computer hardware, and networking equipment.
- Use hand tools and specialised diagnostic instruments to carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Repair or replace faulty components in computer hardware, network devices, and other electronic equipment.
- Assist with system upgrades, installations, and configurations as required by clients.
- Provide clear documentation of service activities, including fault reports and repair logs.
- Offer technical advice and support to clients regarding system operation and maintenance best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical knowledge, equipment repair, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with computer repair, maintenance, and networking (including routers, switches).
- Knowledge of system diagnostics software and diagnostic procedures for hardware issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards resolving technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently at client sites with minimal supervision.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for travel between locations.

Pay: £25,500.00-£45,000.00 per year
