Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Zinc Electroplating Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying zinc coatings to various metal components through electroplating processes, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and set up electroplating baths, ensuring correct chemical concentrations and temperature controls.
- Operate electroplating equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring the process throughout each cycle.
- Inspect finished components for quality, ensuring uniform coating thickness and absence of defects.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the fabrication, assembly, or repair of metal parts as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for minor repairs or adjustments.
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols at all times.
- Document process parameters and quality checks accurately in logs.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and maintain electroplating machinery.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with assembly, construction painting, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and chemical calculations.
- Familiarity with the use of welding equipment and construction painting processes is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in quality control procedures.
