Commissioning Officer – Family Hubs Programme
Location: North Northampton (Hybrid Working Available)
Rate: £315 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary – Initial 4 Months+
Hours: 37 hours per week
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for experienced Commissioning Officers to support the delivery and development of the Best Start for Life Family Hubs Programme. These temporary opportunities will play a key role in commissioning, contract management, performance monitoring and service improvement across early years and family support services.
We are seeking two Commissioning Officers to support different portfolio areas:
Commissioning Officer – Health and Early Years Portfolio
This role will focus on supporting services linked to:
- Infant feeding initiatives
- Perinatal mental health and parent–infant relationships
- Early years health and wellbeing priorities
- Monitoring commissioned services, analysing performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Commissioning Officer – Early Help and Family Support Portfolio
This role will focus on supporting services linked to:
- Evidence-based parenting support programmes
- Home Learning Environment (HLE) and school readiness initiatives
- Early help family support priorities
- Service mobilisation, contract management and performance improvement activity
Both roles will work collaboratively with internal teams, commissioned providers, delivery partners and wider stakeholders to ensure services remain aligned with Best Start for Life priorities and local strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commissioning, implementation and ongoing development of the Best Start in Life Family Hubs Programme
- Coordinate commissioning activities, contract monitoring and performance management processes
- Analyse quality, performance and financial information to produce reports, insights and recommendations
- Support engagement with providers, partners, communities and service users to inform service design and improvement
- Assist with the development of service specifications, tender documentation and commissioning activity
- Contribute to strategic plans relating to early years development, parenting support, infant feeding and perinatal mental health
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, outcomes and value for money
Requirements:
- Experience working within commissioning, contract management, service development or a related role
- Knowledge of early years, family support, public health or children’s services commissioning
- Experience analysing performance data and producing reports/recommendations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership working skills
- Ability to support procurement, service specification development and improvement activity
