Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the finance department by managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with day-to-day financial operations. Your proactive approach and familiarity with accounting software will help maintain smooth financial processes across the organization.
Duties
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
- Enter data into financial systems with precision to ensure up-to-date records
- Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and documentation
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiencies within the finance department
- Support the preparation of financial reports and summaries for management review
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft
- Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services industry standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: £28,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
