At Restaurant 1812, we are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our kitchen staff by keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, is hardworking, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff as needed, including basic food prep.
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and kitchen hygiene standards are upheld.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and customer service
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
